DervSwerve is an Irish wordsmith, copywriter, music blogger and reviewer with a mega passion for sounds particularly indie, electro-classical and anything that sounds remotely like Radiohead. A freelance contributor to various online magazines, she also pens a monthly Nordic column for her mates over at The Monitors.

Derv is passionate about supporting emerging artists and helping them achieve their aim of breaking into the music industry, both within the Irish & UK market and beyond. This passion was identified and nurtured by the iconic Tom Robinson for whom she moderates and reviews, as part of team Fresh on the Net (BBC Introducing).

Derval lives in Dublin but wishes she lived in a stone cottage in West Cork where, she could ramble aimlessly by the sea, whilst concocting new words with which to describe the latest musical delicacies on which she is feasting.

She is a firm believer in the motto – “all good things come to those who wait”, but wants to ask one teeny question … “how much longer?”
